한국전력(KEPCO)이 다음 달부터 전기요금 인상을 요구했다. 지난 몇 년 동안 여름철 기온이 올라가면서 전력 수요가 크게 증가해 한국전력의 적자를 가중시켰다. 올해 3분기가 물가 상승의 최고 정점이 될 것으로 예상되는 가운데, 정부는 전기요금 인상이 국민들의 실질적 부담이 될 것을 우려하고 있다.
Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) demanded an increase in electricity rates from next month. Over the past several years, as the summer season temperature rose, the demand for electricity soared up, adding deficits to KEPCO's operation. As expecting the third quarter of this year to be the peak of the price increase, the government concerns about the people's perceived burden from the electricity rate hike.
韩国电力公社(KEPCO)将在下个月上调电费价格。在过去的几年里,随着夏季气温的上升,电力需求大幅增加,加重了韩国电力的赤字。虽然预计今年第三季度将是通货膨胀的最高点，但政府担心电费上涨会增加国民的实际负担。
